What God Is Doing in the Sky Valley: A New Day for Our Region

When I look across the Sky Valley, I see more than mountains and rivers. I see a region God has been preparing for something deeper. Something stronger. Something new. From Monroe to Skykomish, there is a spiritual hunger rising. People who once felt numb are beginning to feel again. People who drifted are sensing the pull of God. People who felt forgotten are realizing they are seen.
This valley has been through long seasons of hardship. Fires. Floods. Loss. Addiction. Division. Fear. The headlines have not always been kind. But God has a way of stepping into places that seem overlooked and breathing life into them again.
The Sky Valley is not done.
It is not fading.
It is not finished.
God is moving.
A Region With Hidden Strength
Most people who pass through Highway 2 never see the heart of this valley. They enjoy the scenery and keep going. But the families who live here know a different story. A story of perseverance. A story of resilience. A story of holding on when everything else feels uncertain.
Isaiah 40 says that those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength. That is not a promise for crowded cities or privileged places. That is a promise for people who refuse to give up. People like the ones who live in this valley.
The Sky Valley has a strength inside it that only comes from God.
God Has Not Abandoned Small Towns
There is a lie the enemy whispers in rural communities.
That you are forgotten.
That you are too small.
That your story doesn’t matter.
That your prayers are unheard.
But Scripture tells a different story. God called shepherds. God used fishermen. God moved in villages no one ever wrote about. God revealed Himself in fields, stables, and mountainsides. God has always done His greatest work in small places.
That means this valley is not too small for revival.
It is perfectly positioned for it.
A Valley Waiting for Renewal
I believe God is softening hearts across the Sky Valley. Homes that once felt hopeless are being stirred again. People who walked away from church years ago are feeling the pull to return. Marriages that felt beyond repair are being renewed. Young people who felt lost are beginning to search for truth.
This is not emotion. It is not hype.
It is the mercy of God.
It is the patience of God.
It is the love of God calling this valley back to Himself.
The Sky Valley is on the edge of something greater.
Mountain Valley Chapel Prays for Every Town
We are not here for one zip code.
We are here for the whole region.
Every town. Every street. Every family. Every lonely heart.
We pray for Gold Bar, Sultan, Startup, Index, Skykomish, Monroe, and every home tucked between them. We believe God is writing a story of redemption across this valley, and we want to be part of it.
My Prayer for the Sky Valley
Father, breathe life into this entire region. Restore what was broken. Heal what was wounded. Call back the ones who wandered far away. Let the Sky Valley become a place where Your presence rests with power. Let families be strengthened. Let burdens be lifted. Let hearts be awakened. Let revival take root in this valley. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Sky Valley, God is not done with you.
He is just getting started.
