How Mountain Valley Chapel Supports Our Local Schools and Families

At Mountain Valley Chapel in Gold Bar, Washington, we believe the church should stand beside families, students, and educators in meaningful ways. Schools are the heart of every community, shaping the next generation and influencing the future of the Sky Valley. That’s why our church makes it a priority to support local schools and families through prayer, partnership, and practical service. We see our involvement not as a program, but as a calling to strengthen the foundation of faith and community that holds Gold Bar, Sultan, and Index together.

We begin with prayer. Every week, we pray for teachers, administrators, staff, and students by name. We believe prayer is not passive, it's powerful. By covering our schools in prayer, we are asking God to protect, guide, and bless every classroom in the Sky Valley. During the school year, our church also collects supplies, helps families prepare for back-to-school season, and supports educators who often give far more than their job descriptions require.

Mountain Valley Chapel also helps families through our Rescued Foods ministry, providing free groceries and meals twice a month. Many families in our community face financial strain, and we want to ease that burden. By meeting practical needs, we open doors to deeper relationships and opportunities to share the love of Christ. Every meal served and every bag of groceries given is an act of faith in motion.

We also partner with parents to help raise children who know and follow Jesus. Through our children’s ministry, family nights, and seasonal events, we offer a safe, faith-filled environment where kids can learn biblical truth and parents can connect with others walking the same journey. We believe that strong families build strong communities and strong communities reflect the heart of God.
