At Mountain Valley Chapel in Gold Bar, Washington, we believe the baptism of the Holy Spirit is a distinct and powerful experience for every believer. From the book of Acts to today, the Holy Spirit continues to fill God’s people with boldness, strength, and supernatural power to live out the mission of Jesus. This baptism is not about emotion or title it is about empowerment. It enables us to live holy, to speak with authority, and to carry the presence of God into a world that desperately needs Him.
When Jesus told His followers to wait for the promise of the Father, He was speaking of this very baptism. On the day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit came upon the disciples, and they were filled with power from heaven. They spoke in new tongues, proclaimed the gospel fearlessly, and the Church was born. That same power is available to believers today. The baptism of the Holy Spirit is not limited to a moment in history it is the ongoing promise of God for His people.
We believe this baptism is separate from salvation but deeply connected to it. Every believer receives the Holy Spirit at salvation, but the baptism of the Holy Spirit releases His power in a greater measure. It equips us to be witnesses, to pray with authority, and to walk in spiritual gifts that strengthen the Church and glorify Jesus.
At Mountain Valley Chapel, we encourage believers to seek the fullness of the Spirit with open hearts. We make room for the gifts of the Spirit to operate in love and order, just as Scripture teaches. We believe the Church today needs the same fire and power that filled the early Church.
If you are looking for a Spirit-filled church near Gold Bar, Sultan, or Index where the presence of God is real and believers are empowered to live boldly, we welcome you to join us.
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses.” — Acts 1:8 (ESV)
